TokSift

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about the account, billing and data handling. Questions about a specific tool are answered on that tool's own page.

Do I need to create an account?

You can run a free export without an account. An account is only needed to keep your export history, buy credits and generate AI analysis reports.

How does credit billing work?

One credit equals one exported comment. Credits are deducted based on the number of comments actually retrieved, not the number TikTok displays. Failed exports are never charged, and partial exports are charged only for what you received.

What happens to my credits if an export fails halfway?

You are charged only for the comments successfully retrieved. If an export fails before returning any data, nothing is deducted.

Do you store the comments I export?

Export files are retained for seven days so you can re-download them, then deleted. We do not build a persistent database of comment authors, and we do not sell or share exported data.

Are my AI analysis reports private?

Yes. Every report is private by default and visible only to you. If you generate a public share link, the report becomes accessible to anyone with that link until you revoke it.

Can I cancel my subscription at any time?

Yes. Cancel from your account settings and you keep access until the end of the current billing period. Unused credits remain usable until then.

Do you offer refunds?

If an export failed or returned unusable data and you were charged, contact support and we will refund the credits. Contact us within 14 days of the charge.

Is TokSift affiliated with TikTok?

No. TokSift is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok or ByteDance. We only access publicly visible content.

Can I use exported data under GDPR?

Comments contain personal data such as usernames. If you store or process exported data for users in the EU or UK, you are the data controller and are responsible for having a lawful basis, honouring deletion requests and limiting retention. We recommend anonymising author fields when you only need the comment text.
